Hey, I just wanted to share a great quote I found in my new gym and a cute free printable I found on pinterest. Yup.... I headed back to the gym. It's been a good long time. Hopefully this time around I'll make it more of a lasting habit helping to create balance in my life. Anyway, I love this quote they have hanging on the wall.
Because really, working out, getting outdoors... it's not about just filling a time gap or having something to do, it' s about living and living well! Being Refreshed! Love it!
Of course, it wasn't all pretty like this! I wanted to print a fancy one for my home. The cute frame was a free download from FreePrettyThingsForYou. It comes in a few different colors as well. So glad people are willing to share their talents! Thanks a ton FreePrettyThingsForYou!
Love free printables? So do I! Follow my Printables Board on Pinterest!
I have to tell you how long I have waited for a chance to review this FUN product! I have been working for over a YEAR in hopes to work with them on a review... which you might know is always followed up by a GIVEAWAY! I know you all a cheering... more on that later ;)
Soooo of course, I was *thrilled* to find an email from them just last month confirming the opportunity. I KNEW my kids would just love it... and they did.
Pros:
*Obviously cool looking!
*Lots of color options
*Super bouncy fun
*Helps kids exercise
*Burns energy- great activity to do about an hour before bedtime ;)
*Designed for kids 18 months to 6 years old
*Can be used for therapy purposes for children with needs
*Hilarious to watch kids play on it
(My four year old said, "This is Totally AWESOME!)
*Easy to pump up with included manual pump
*Very durable(even I gave it a shot... just couldn't resist)
*Holds the air in well, no need to re-inflate for weeks Cons:
*It is smaller than it looks on the website
For my kids, the 2 and 4 year old could ride it the best. My two year old LOVES it. My six year old has a harder time bouncing on it so for her I think the next size up would be best.
So if you are ready for your kids to have hours of fun and use up all that energy we moms all know they have, check out all their bouncing animals!
Thank you Jumping Balls for the opportunity to review Benny the Bull!

I did receive the product to review free of charge.
If you have ordered directly through me for Velocity, you should have already received these tips but I thought it would be helpful for everyone to know the tips ahead of time.
These tips are from my personal experience using Velocity.
Tips To Get Started with Velocity:
Tip #1 Take a BEFORE photo!
Seriously, no one else ever has to see it but you. If you don't you will wish you had... I sure do! I have pictures of me from before but not a "before" photo and it just isn't a good comparison without one.
Tip #2 Day 1- Take early in the morning with food and water.
As with any new regime of diet and exercise, day 1 is usually the hardest adjustment to make. I had SUPER MOM energy and LOVED it! It was a little extreme but because I had been lacking energy for so long I felt amazing. While very uncommon, some may actually feel tired on the first and second day. This is your body adjusting to the new supplement and you need to drink LOTS of water to help your body metabolize the supplement. Have no fear, sustained energy will come. Some have said after the first week, their energy was back and they could feel the difference.
Tip #3 DRINK LOTS OF WATER
When I asked Velocity Head quarters about why someone might feel tired after taking Velocity, they explained to me what I explained to you. Everyone's body is different and metabolizes differently so be sure to drink LOTS OF WATER every day! How much? 16 (8 ounce) glasses a day- yes that's a lot but if you are trying your best to drink that much, it will go a long way with helping your body adjust to Velocity.
Tip #4 The more you move= MORE ENERGY!
This is SOO true. On day 1, I HAD TO MOVE but day 2,3,4+ I didn't have crazy energy. Just very sustained energy through out the day. I noticed though, that when I worked out, my energy kicked into HIGH GEAR! Since I had been working out prior to Velocity, I knew the difference it was making. Use Velocity to boost your work outs! If you have a job that you are sitting at most of the day, try to keep plenty of water on hand... and you'll have a need to get up and move.
Tip #5 Remember to EAT!
Ok, this one is super important. You'll actually forget to eat because YOU. WON'T FEEL HUNGRY. AT. ALL. We obviously need food to survive so make sure you eat some small healthy meals through out the day. Or whatever you feel like eating. Really, it's not necessary to consciously change your eating habits as you will just notice a change take place. You won't feel hungry and different types of food won't be appealing anymore either. Seriously. The first week I started Velcoity, I went to eat a bowl of ice cream that I KNEW was super yummy because I had eaten it the week before, and to my surprise, it really didn't taste good to me. I have to admit, I was slightly disappointed but very happy to know that my taste buds had changed.

OK, if anyone is like me(I'll be the first to admit)... about this time of year, you have already forgotten WHAT your New Year's Resolutions even were... am I right?
Well, I'm going to have to look back on all mine because I *think* I posted about them on here ;)
Honestly, the hardest one for me was always the "routine" I wanted to have for myself...
Something like...
*Wake Up Early...
(Ya know so I could be a good wife and make breakfast for my hubby before he's off for the day)
*Pray and Read Scriptures EVERY morning
*Exercise at least 30 minutes each day besides Sunday...(I'm pregnant, need I say more?)
*Get some cleaning done BEFORE kids are awake...(HA!HA!HA!)
And then the rest of the day was to be spent serving my children in the many ways us moms ideally want to... (What? Do I hear you say you DON'T want to clean their room for the 50th time this month? You DON'T want to read 50 books a day?)
Well, at least spend time with them outside of the house and enjoy them instead of doing the "same ol' thang"... housework. While I could go on and on and on... about not being where I want to be with my New Years Resolution, I got to thinking... there is ONE RESOLUTION I can help others with...
(Actually it could serve two purposes)
That "LOOSE WEIGHT" Resolution! Yes, that one!
(Did you know that the #1 New Years Resolution is to LOOSE Weight?... that's a lot of people I can help out! And #3 is Spend Less, Save More... I'm feeling another post coming on!)
Whether you just have a few pounds or 30+ that you are trying to loose, Velocity can help. I had been exercising from January through May before I took it just last year. Yes my exercise started slow but you would think that after 5 months I would have lost some weight... nope. None. Nada.
I also felt tired and slow day in and day out.
So for the short story version, I took Velocity for the energy benefit and
had my doubts but secretly hoped I could loose a few pounds too. I SURE DID!
In total I lost 24 pounds!
And I had the BEST energy I can remember ever having!
So, Whether you have been trying your best to loose those pounds you committed to loosing or you simply dropped the ball on your Fitness Resolution, let Velocity give you that boost you need!
As of Nov 2013, Distributor Prices have changed and all orders must be processed through my corporate site at www.TheMLBB.go1vizn.com UNLESS you are local. If you live in Southern Utah, you may email and make arrangements for pick up. 1/23/2013 UPDATE:
If you don't already know, I'm pregnant and haven't been taking Velocity during pregnancy and I'm proud to say that I STILL have not gained all that weight I lost back and I'm 4 1/2 months along!
Wahoo! I do miss the energy I got from Velocity though! :)
9/25/12 UPDATE:
After losing 19 pounds I quit taking Velocity every day and only took it once or twice a week for energy( I love the energy it gives me). Just about a week ago I decided to go back to taking it daily and see if I could loose 10 more pounds... I have lost another 4 pounds already!
That's a total of 23 pounds LOST on Velocity! (I actually lost another pound that same week for a total of 24 pounds lost on Velocity!!)
UPDATE: I have now lost 19 pounds in 1 1/2 months!!
I am seriously AMAZED!
I hope no one is offended by me telling you my weight loss secret- if you are or you don't care... just skip this post : )
I have never been one to even consider a diet or a weight loss supplement but after my third child and no results(weight loss) with my work outs I gave in. And I'm glad I did!
I LOST 14 POUNDS IN ROUGHLY ONE MONTH!!
And I'm still loosing weight! I went from a size 10(a little loose but not much) to an easy size 4, almost a 2!
I wouldn't be talking about it on my blog if I, Julie, didn't personally experience it. I was skeptical of the weight loss but I wanted the energy so I took it for the energy to help me work out more often, harder, and longer and to turn that into a habit. It worked AND I LOST 14 POUNDS in just over a month(about 5 weeks)!
What mom of even just one kid doesn't need an extra energy boost?! And as a mom of three, I was struggling to get energy into even one of my days a week!
I'm headed into me second month of taking the Energy and Weight Loss Supplement and so excited to see the results again!
What is it I am taking? What's my secret?!
I have had many people ask me already so I'll tell you!
It's anatural weight loss supplement loaded with power fruits Acai, Camu-Camu, and Cupuacu. With just one capsule a day, it adds up to 8 hours of energy boost without the usual crash when it wears off. The Pure Dried blend of fruit acts as a multi-vitamin and provides many health benefits. It suppresses hunger and curbs cravings for sugar and fast foods, making it easier to eat healthy and smaller portions and maintain a healthy weight long term.
It's VELOCITY!
The name alone is so perfect for the supplement because I lost weight FAST!
My sister is a Velocity Consultant and introduced me to it. I was hesitant but then I went ahead and tried it.
Now that I know IT WORKS, I decided that I need to share it with others! Results vary from person to person of course. My sister lost 15 pounds in two weeks, my dad only lost a few pounds in a month, and I lost 14 pounds in 5 weeks.
I'm so excited for this supplement to help change your lives by giving you energy and weight loss! As of Nov 2013, Distributor Prices have changed and all orders must be processed through my corporate site at www.TheMLBB.go1vizn.com UNLESS you are local. If you live in Southern Utah, you may email and make arrangements for pick up.

I know this is a bit late as hopefully all the St. George Marathon runners are heading to bed
(if they can sleep at all) but
I really want to wish you all good luck!
Just keep running ;)
Although if you are signed up for it, most likely you don't need luck because you have prepared for months and months! I feel so much gratitude and amazement when I see people finish such a feat! A few of my family members have ran it and some more than once. I just think it's awesome, especially because I have experienced a half and it was soooo difficult for me that I will probably never be able to run a full marathon- and don't desire too right now, lol!
And for all of you NOT running, Feel free to watch General Conference, a free broadcast that will spiritually uplift you, guaranteed!
You do not need to be a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to watch it. In fact, you can watch it to learn a bit about what our faith is. I know there is much debate out there since Mitt Romney is a "Mormon" {Quite Possibly our next President of the United States!- I sure hope so}...so this is a great chance to learn what that means to him and to the rest of us!
Times are 10am-12pm MST
and
2pm-4pm MST
There will also be sessions on Sunday at the same time! In Utah, they can be received on many different channels. Depending on what state you live in, the channels will vary but for sure the BYU channel will broadcast it and you can watch it live online as well.
I hope you all can enjoy the peace and comfort we receive from these
Semi-annual General Conferences!
This blender looks very similar to my beloved Magic Bullet that I paid $50 for! I LOVE LOVE smoothies- that's my number 1 use for blenders but these are great to mix up some salsa or guacamole and many other easy mixes, even cake mixes!
OK, so I recently published the deal about $2.50 Tee-s and $5 yoga pants... and now there are packs of athletic shorts(2 pair each) for $5 and Body Shapers for only $5! That's a steal of a deal!
I'll be using the shorts for Color Me Rad since they had WHITE! Wahoo- perfect for all the Colors I'll be sporting come November 10th!
*Other colors are available too!
*Remember, the carts are way in the back by the milk. This was at the St. George Harmon's location too.
We made it! We had 4 sisters, 2 bother-in-laws, and a niece that all ran the Bryce Canyon Half Marathon too! That's a small portion of my family- about 1/7 of it- but more than we have ever had running it all together. I would have had lots of pictures to share if only my NEW camera would have co-operated- looks like it'll be going back to the store. This is a crop of the group picture for the privacy of the others in the group. If you can't tell, I was FREEZING COLD! It was at least sprinkling the WHOLE TIME. And towards the last couple of miles it was down pouring and I was soaked to the bone.
I learned a bit about myself on this run. I had a blast for the first few miles and it was so fun to have family and my husband right there with me. I knew I'd be running slower than the rest but with all that happened I felt I did pretty darn good that I even finished. And my family rocked it too! My niece was first in her age group! My sister and her husband finished in 1:45!! That is amazing to me! And my other family members than ran sure did awesome too!
We got about 2 hours of sleep the night before, then of course my baby was sick(worried me the whole time I was running), I had to use the "potty" and I started my period(sorry for those who don't want to know) at mile 5... I was cramping the rest of the way, and then mile 7 1/2 I found out I have asthma- and apparently was having an attack along with a panic attack. I have never felt so scared(for myself and my own health) before. My throat was closing up and I was wheezing bad. I completely stopped running or walking and really thought I was going to pass out. My husband was in view but I couldn't call to him, luckily he stayed close and had turned around to see where I was. Then I tried hard to just focus on my breathing and walking.
There was a volunteer helper who came to see how I was doing. He asked if I had ever had asthma before to which I replied no. He asked if I wanted to be checked out in the ambulance but quite frankly I really wanted to finish the race- although if my husband had not been there I would probably have given in and stopped at that point. He said if it didn't stop before we reached the ambulance that I needed to get checked out right away.
From this point on, it was mostly walking to the end of the Marathon. I luckily didn't need to stop for the actual Ambulance because by then I had managed to get my normal breathing pattern back. I couldn't listen to music for almost the rest of the half because it distracted me from my breathing. My sweet husband was with me the whole way. I seriously could not be more thankful for him. I wanted to quit but could not give up because he was right there with me and he was willing walk with me as much as I needed. He couldeasily have finished way before I did but he stuck with me.
I was able to control my breathing right up until I ran through the finish line, then I just broke down in my husbands arms until I could get composure back and breathe normal again.
I am happy to say that I finished! Not without the help for sure! But I have officially ran a half marathon. I felt the support of many family members, my husband, and especially my Heavenly Father and Savior.
I don't plan to run another half marathon any time soon and I'll for sure be headed to the Dr.'s before I run anything longer than a couple of miles. I'm just so grateful I got to return to my children and my family after the race and ever so grateful for my sweet husband. Heavenly Father has blessed me sooo much.
With that said, I will not be able to blog for the rest of the day(accept for the giveaway winner) and will be slower with posts this week. I will be announcing the winner of the Jamberry Nails giveaway as soon as possible. Thanks so much for understanding!
I just wanted to let you all know, I'm off for the weekend starting now! Headed out to the mountains to prepare for my first ever half marathon tomorrow! YIKES! The weather is supposed to be 56 degrees and rainy starting out at 6 am! It should feel great compared to my hot hot hot home town!
I'm definitely nervous and find that doubt is trying to settle in. I won't let it though! I'll be praying my way through it because I know I can't do it alone! Eek.
So enjoy your weekend, wish me luck and enter those giveaways!
I know I know, no one wants to admit they need it but come on now! I'll be the first, I wish this would get here in time for my half marathon! lol! Running always gets things moving out of the body if you know what I mean!
Ok, so we know you can get ONE week free and now you can score TWO WEEKS for only $10!! Considering this would normally cost $60, that is a great deal!
I may be over doing the talk on Fitness lately especially with my half marathon coming up this Saturday but I feel the need to read everything about fitness and running tips- and well, this here blog is my outlet so you can learn with me.
If you are looking for great ways to get started with running or working out and you live in Utah or want to visit Utah, there are a whole bunch of amazing HEALTH deals on KSL Deals.

OK, I've been a bit of a slacker when it comes to posting about my training because I'm not sure if there are many really reading or caring...BUT I have been doing it! I have ran into some struggles along the way but I officially have ONLY 6 DAYS until the race- really less than that. I'll be finished in 6 days from now!
It starts at 6 am on Saturday.
My training has been tough and sometimes I have slacked... usually because I have run into lots of pains or pulled muscles. I am really hoping nothing will hold me back come Saturday morning. I run 2 miles today and 3 miles on Wednesday and then I don't run until the half on Saturday so my legs should be recovered and ready. I will be stretching for an hour a day to make sure my legs and muscles are nice and loose for the run because I ALWAYS need to stretch during my runs. It seems like I can't stretch enough.
Anyway, it has been tough but worth it so far! I will be so excited to say I finished the half! I'm not running to win... I'm running to complete a personal goal of simply RUNNING a half! To be honest, I have completed a lot of firsts when it comes to working out and running by just signing up for the race and following through with the training as much as possible. I've ran my own "10K's" about 5 times and then some just for training for this thing... and I have NEVER ran a 5K or 10K before!
At times I have completely wanted to give up and wondered if I would make it as far as I have already... but I have had to remind myself, My body WAS NOT made to be WEAK!
I know my creator and I know that we may run into injuries or illnesses of sorts but our bodies are really quite amazing. It's our mind we need to work on the most! I CAN DO THIS THING! :)
My camera recently broke so I made sure to buy a new one over the weekend because I WILL be taking pictures of this event! And of the views! I want to take in the run- not just run!
It is in Bryce Canyon National Park and it is beautiful there so I'm sure the sunrise will be worth a few pictures!
My husband, 4 sisters, brother-in-law, and even 2 nieces will be running the race too! So it'll be loads of fun! Although... out of the group, I'll probably be the last of them to finish. Oddly, lots of my family are runners... not me, normally, not me anyway. But this week I AM A RUNNER! :)
