Special Christmas CSN Giveaway! $65 store credit!

It's that time of year...
when we all feel like we have to rush around finding the perfect gift for our families and friends along with decorating our homes with lights and decor, preparing feasts and cleaning our homes... not necessarily in that order.

I feel like this year in my own little family, it is much busier and hectic than usual because of our current circumstances. Trust me the details could take way too long to explain.

The good thing about it is that it really has brought up the necessity of relying on Christ and having faith in the future (I still struggle with this at times but I know He has not forgotten our little family)...

I feel blessed to be reminded of this so close to the holidays because even though my families circumstances are stressful and unknown, I know that many others out there are having a harder time than us, not that THAT is the blessing... the blessing is being able to think of others during this Holiday season who may need a little extra help and finding ways to actually help them.

Christmas really isn't about the gifts and the food, but what Christ has done for us and our families and to stand as a reminder of what we should be doing for others so I feel that this is the perfect time to serve others(along with any other time). I love this figurine from CSN Stores representing really how I feel about Christmas.
With the help of CSN stores, I have the opportunity to give you the chance to serve someone else. If you have forgotten, CSN stores has over 200+ online stores ranging from childrens toys, work out equipment, end tables and dining furniture, kitchen accessories and small appliances, lots of home decor and so much more!

You have the chance to serve someone else!
With the holidays being so hectic it is perfect timing to not think of ourselves so what I am asking of all of you(in good faith that you will follow the rules) is to pick a family to give a gift or multiple gifts to if you were to win this giveaway.  If YOU are a family in need, that is ok too! So here is how you can enter the giveaway:

Mandatory:
Pick a family and tell their story here along with why they need your help and what gift from CSN Stores you would give them(1 entry)

Additional:
Follow my blog publicly through google reader and leave a comment letting me know you do(1 entry)
Publicly blog about the giveaway and leave a link to it in a comment (2 entries)
Enter one of my other giveaways here and here (before they end on Dec. 7th)and comment that you did(2 possible entires)

Please make sure you leave a way for me to contact you(email is best)

Although I really really hope that whoever wins this giveaway will take the opportunity to give to someone else(even if it be your own family in time of need), the winner is responsible for their own actions. The winner will be responsible for using the gift credit for purchases of gifts and will also be responsible for delivering to the family of their choice.

Winner is also responsible for checking on the shipment dates to ensure delivery before Christmas.
I would love to highlight your story after the gift giving if you are willing as well!

'Tis The Season to Serve

Giveaway Ends Dec 10th, 2010 12pm MST
OPEN TO USA & CANADA RESIDENTS ONLY
The winner will be contacted by email and have 24 hours to respond.

We have friends who recently lost their home (and everything in it) in a fire. I would simply give them the certificate so they could start their refurnishing process with things they need of their own choosing.

I know a family who lost their home - not in a fire! And their business. And all their equipment. I know that a gift certificate would make them very happy. I know it wouldn't go far but atleast they could get something!

My sister in law's husband lost his got about 4 years ago, and has only occasional jobs since she's gone back to school and for the last ywo years they've been so poor, but she manages to keep her fmaily fed, clean and happy, even though they've had so much adversary and she's pretty much having to do everything. She finally graduates this month, and we are hoping that she can get a job. I'd love to be able to get her something special, since what little they have she uses on her kids.

I work with families that have been affected by domestic violence. I have a client right now who is trying to get back on her feet after having to move away. She could use something special as she starts her new journey with her kids.

I would love to win this to help my dad out! Now that I am married and on My own I appreciate even more how hard my dad works to take care of his daughters. I have three younger sisters still in college and I know my dad is struggling to provide them with school/dorm basics. I would love to have a chance to help and give back in any way I could.

I would love to get this bedding for my sister!

i love this idea! so much better than asking us to drone on about all the things we would like to get from csn! i have a friend (a recently single mom of two under two) who had to return to the united states from saipan with nowhere to live, no job, and hardly any possessions. she is staying with her cousin temporarily, but i know how uncomfortable that can be. she will be getting a job soon, but has very little at this point. she would be the perfect candidate for this giveaway!
thank you for getting us thinking and helping!

Well, I don't have a particular person in mind to help, but last October I lost my baby at 24 weeks along, and so it has been my goal to buy Christmas for a young boy every year, since I would have had him to buy for had he lived. So, the money would go to buying gifts for a little boy that we would donate to Toys for Tots or something like that.

I would share this with my mom, who works at the veterans' hospital. the holidays are tough for those elderly guys with no family, or family who don't visit. I think it would be fun to use the gift certificate to get decorations, music, slippers, soaps, or something fun for her patients during the holidays.

i would help my mom out. She's been hit with some rough times after she and my father divorced. She always goes her best to give my brother and I a nice christmas, with the little that she can afford. She also is always giving to different food drives because she believes that even though she doesn't have a lot, she still has some to give and share. I'd like to thank her for being such a great person and ask her to treat herself with this gift card.

we have friends with nine children (six are adopted) who are barely making ends meet after a job loss and then a current job that doesn't pay the bills. it would be a tremendous blessing to buy a few gifts for their Christmas celebration! i'd love to help them in this small way.

Hi, this is such a lovely way to conduct your giveaway and the perfect time of year to encourage thinking of others more than usual.

Since my Dad passed away my mom has had to deal with losing her husband and being financially crippled. She works 3 jobs just trying to make ends meet and this is a lady in her sixties. She doesn't drive so she has to walk to every job no matter the weather. She lives in a little house with a leaking roof and drafty windows but she believes god will get her through and is watching out for her. She says, "God never gives you more than you can handle so take your life's challenges as a compliment of his faith in you." Her faith is never wavered which I really admire about her and try to live my life to the same value. My husband and I of course, try to help her as much as we possibly can but things are tight for everyone. One of her jobs is at a hospital and she loves to scrape any extra pennies she has together to buy the ingredients to bake treats. She brings in baked goods to cheer up people in the hospital which I find so inspiring because here she is facing such rough times and yet she's always thinking of other people before herself. However, her old outdated electric mixer just died on her and so she can't make her special treats to bring in anymore. She was saying how she wished Santa was real so she could ask for a new mixer because of course there is no money to replace it. I would love to be able to put this gift card towards an electric mixer for her and immensely brighten her day. She really deserves to be treated to something special. I guess this is my letter to "Santa" for her. Thanks so much for the chance to help her.

I hope your Christmas is wonderful too.

God Bless!

There is a child in my daughter's school who comes from a family in need. I would LOVE to give her and her family something very special with this gift card. 40% of the kids in her school come from families that live below poverty level. It is a staggering number. It would be nice to make a difference one by one.

Unfortunately there are many families in need this holiday season. There is one in particular that could use a boost this Christmas. The mom has 4 children under the age of 5, and no means to support herself. We are afraid that they may need to move to a homeless shelter if she can't continue to pay her rent with the child support she receives. Christmas is a very hard time for her, since 4 children are hard to buy for in her situation. I think this gift card could provide at least a couple presents for the children.

My mom really deserves this. She lost her job a couple of years ago. Luckily she was just hitting 65. so she could begin claiming social security, but you can’t live on that! And she hadn’t planned on living on her retirement income for awhile yet. So she is still looking for a part-time job and living on social security in the meantime. Money is really tight for her, and I try to help her out when I can.

So I probably wouldn't get her anything, but would give her the code so that she could pick out something that she needs.

I have relatives whose oven is broken and they can't afford to fix it before Christmas, so I would get them a roasting oven so they can at least make Christmas dinner at home!
